Add a TV guide (EPG) on iPhone and iPad
YourView shows what's on now and later from your source's guide, also called the EPG. Most sources bring one, and you can add your own.
Where the guide comes from
YourView takes the first of these that has programs:
- A guide link you added (XMLTV).
- The guide your playlist names in its header (url-tvg or x-tvg-url).
- Your Xtream provider's guide, all at once, or channel by channel when the provider only answers that way.
To see where yours comes from, open Settings, tap your source and look under Guide.
Add a guide link of your own
- In Settings, tap your source.
- Under Guide, tap Guide link, and paste an XMLTV link, plain or zipped (.xml or .xml.gz).
- Tap Save. Your link is used before the guide that came with the source, and the guide is kept on your iPhone or iPad.
Where you see it
- On Watch, switch your favorites between the list and a guide grid, and tap a program for its details.
- The preview at the top of Watch shows what's on.
- In Search, choose Programs to find shows by title and description, on now and coming up.
A channel shows no programs
Channels are matched to the guide by the tvg-id your playlist gives them. A channel without one, or with one the guide doesn't list, shows no programs. With a guide that comes channel by channel, only your favorites get programs. Your source's settings show how many of your favorites have a guide.
