Watch IPTV on your TV from iPhone or iPad

YourView sends the channel you're watching to your TV with AirPlay or Chromecast, and your iPhone or iPad becomes the remote. Your iPhone or iPad and the TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi.

AirPlay

For an Apple TV, or a TV with AirPlay built in.

  1. Open a channel in the player.
  2. Tap the TV button, then Choose next to AirPlay, and pick your TV.
  3. Change channels on your iPhone or iPad. The TV keeps playing when you lock it.

A channel YourView decodes itself, rather than iOS, may play on the TV with sound only. The player says when that happens.

Chromecast

For Chromecasts and Google TVs, with channels from Xtream logins and HLS (.m3u8) streams.

  1. In Settings, under Casting, switch on Chromecast. iOS asks whether YourView may find devices on your local network; allow it.
  2. Open a channel, tap the TV button, and pick your Chromecast.
  3. Change channels from the player, or from your favorites on Watch. The volume buttons turn the TV up and down, and the TV keeps playing when you lock your iPhone or leave the app.
  4. Tap Stop to watch on your iPhone or iPad again.

Chromecast is off until you switch it on, because Google's Cast software sends Google diagnostic data. The switch in Settings says what it sends.

If your Chromecast isn't listed

Check that the TV is on and on the same Wi-Fi, then tap Search again. A channel from an M3U playlist can only play on a Chromecast when its stream is HLS (.m3u8).
