Watch an M3U playlist on iPhone and iPad
YourView plays M3U and M3U8 playlists, from a link or a file. Adding yours takes a minute, and your favorites stay put every time it refreshes.
Add a playlist link
- Open YourView and tap Add a source. It's on the Watch screen until you have a source, and in Settings after that.
- Pick M3U link, and paste the link your provider gave you. A name is optional.
- Tap Add source. YourView imports your channels and keeps them on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap Browse channels, and touch and hold a channel to add it to your favorites. They show on the Watch screen, with a live preview at the top.
Keep it up to date
In Settings, tap your source. Under Options, Refresh automatically reads the playlist again every 6 or 12 hours, every day or every week, and Refresh now does it straight away. Your favorites are found again after every refresh, even channels whose names change with what's on.
Add a playlist file
- Tap Add a source, then File.
- Choose the .m3u or .m3u8 file from the Files app.
- Tap Add source. Refreshing reads the file again.
If your link is an Xtream link
Many providers' M3U links are Xtream links, with get.php and your username and password in them. YourView spots those and offers to add the link as an Xtream login instead: a login loads only the live channels, so adding and refreshing are quicker, and it brings your provider's guide. See Use your Xtream login.
If your provider only answers certain apps
Some providers only answer certain apps. Under Advanced, User agent sends the name your provider expects. Leave it empty to send YourView's own.
Add the guide
A playlist that names a guide in its header gets that guide by itself. To add one of your own, see Add a TV guide.
